Dec 29th, 2015 The U.S. Treasury and Internal Revenue Service (IRS) said they are extending 1095 Reporting deadlines to help companies meet the requirements.
Employers will have two more months to give individuals(employees)forms for reporting on offers of health coverage and the coverage provided. The deadlines to report this information to the IRS are extended by three months past the previous Feb. 29 due date for paper filings and the March 31 date for electronic returns, the Treasury said in a statement Monday.
Reporting requirements deadlines extended in 2016
- 1094-C & 1095-C Filing to the IRS
File by February 29 if filing paper deadline was changed to May 31st
File by March 31st, if filing electronically was changed to June 30th
- 1095-C Furnish to Employee
Furnish to individual by January 31 deadline was changed to March 31st
